Definice a použití

Vlastnost location vrací číslo, které označuje umístění klávesy na klávesnici nebo zařízení.

Číslo je reprezentováno 4 konstantami:

0. DOM_KEY_LOCATION_STANDARD:

Klávesa není stisknuta na pravé ani levé straně klávesnice a nebyla stisknuta ani na numerické klávesnici (tato hodnota představuje téměř každou klávesu na klávesnici, např. "A", "U", "SPACE" nebo "5" )

1. DOM_KEY_LOCATION_LEFT:

Byla stisknuta levá klávesa (např. levá klávesa „CTRL“ nebo levá klávesa „ALT“ na standardní americké klávesnici se 101 klávesami)

2. DOM_KEY_LOCATION_RIGHT:

Byla stisknuta pravá klávesa (např. pravá klávesa „CTRL“ nebo pravá klávesa „CTRL“ na standardní americké klávesnici se 101 klávesami)

3. DOM_KEY_LOCATION_NUMPAD:

Klávesa byla stisknuta na numerické klávesnici (např. klávesa "2" na pravé straně na standardní klávesnici)

Poznámka: Vlastnost umístění lze použít pouze u události onkeydown a onkeyup , nikoli onkeypress .

Poznámka: Tato vlastnost je pouze pro čtení.
